Mark Brunton

Mark Brunton is the Facilitator Research Maori for the University of Otago. Previously, he was the Website Administrator for the Dunedin City Council. Mark has more than 20 years experience in the computing industry in operations, software development, systems analysis and website design, development and management.

Mark has worked at Databank, Otago University, AgResearch and the Dunedin City Council. He is also a past Branch Chairman and National Councillor of NZCS. Mark began work for the DCC in 1999 and was responsible for managing the development of the City of Dunedin website and is responsible for its ongoing development and management as well as the DCC Intranet.

Mark has an interest in many aspects of today's computing environment and the use of Information and Communications Technology by all New Zealanders. He is especially interested in the areas of legislation and government, primarily in the new spam legislation and the government's Digital Strategy.
