Appointment of NZRS Chief Executive

Media Release - 13 January 2009 - .nz Registry Services (NZRS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jay Daley to the position of Chief Executive of NZRS.

Jay  was  formerly  Director  of  IT  at  Nominet  UK,  one  of  the world’s  leading  domain  name  registries,  and  brings  to  his  new role  a  wealth  of  experience  in  registry  management,  leadership and  strategic  management,  and  critical  technology  systems management.

He  combines  a  passion  for  technical  excellence  with  a  desire to  foster  a culture  of  consensus  decision-making,  lifelong learning,  knowledge  sharing  and excellent  customer  service.   One of  Jay’s  notable  recent  successes  has  been heading  the implementation  of  Enum  in  the  UK,  the  first  diversification undertaken  by Nominet  UK.

Jay  is  married  with  three  children  and  currently  lives  in  the  UK.  Subject  to Jay  and  his  family  meeting  New  Zealand residency  requirements,  Jay  expects to  be  able  to  take  up  his position  with  NZRS  in  early  February.
