DNDR WORKING GROUP REPORT 3 AUGUST 2001

The working group has been active and a draft of its first discussion paper is currently being finalised for publication in the next fortnight.

At the same time, an informal survey of IP law specialists will be conducted to acquire anecdotal evidence of the size of the problem particularly with respect to domain name disputes which have not proceeded because the Court process may have been seen to be uneconomic or too slow.

At the time of issue of the discussion paper and survey, key media will be briefed and a small advertising campaign launched to try to encourage wider debate. The WG will work with the Executive Director on these aspects.
