InternetNZ Structural Reforms (2006 - 2009)

Information on the InternetNZ structural reforms.

In 2006 and 2007 an InternetNZ task-force worked with consultants to review the Society's structure. The objective of the review was to consider how the Society and its subsidiary bodies worked together and propose any improvements that would improve its ability to achieve its objects.

Structural Reforms Proceed

Approval was given for InternetNZ to proceed with structural reforms at its July 2007 AGM. Rose Percival was engaged as the Implementation Manager for the structural reform project.

At its October 14, 2007 meeting Council resolved to accept a large number of recommendations put forward by Rose.

Among the more significant recommendations:

  • that the NZ Oversight Committee will be converted to a stand-alone company.
  • that an Executive Directors Oversight Committee be established.
