Paper 8 - Executive Director’s Oversight Board – Delegations and Authorities
The Executive Director’s Oversight Board will in effect manage the policy and advocacy affairs of the Society. The Board will have the same status as the .nz Oversight Committee currently has – it will be a sub-committee of InternetNZ.
As an internal committee of InternetNZ, the delegations and authorities it carries will be different to those of the other business units which have been/are to be established as separate and independent legal entities.
Financial Statements
As the InternetNZ Office (Executive Director’s Office) is part of InternetNZ rather than an independent legal entity, both EDOB and the InternetNZ Council should receive both business unit-specific and consolidated financial statements incorporating the full activities of the InternetNZ Office and the InternetNZ Council. If other business units are established and remain within the Society, this provision would extend to their activities also.
