Report of the Legal & Regulatory Affairs Committee 26/10/00

1. David Zanetti has joined this Committee.

2. The Committee is to consider formation of a WG to look at implementation of some form of domain name dispute resolution mechanism (whether using the UDRP, paralleling it or some other).

2. Ewen McNeill is convening a WG to look at electronic communication privacy/tapping (Terms of Reference below). As I understand it, draft legislation dealing with electronic crime is due for publication soon and this WG will examine that with a view to making any necessary submissions to the Select Committee.
