Anti-Spam

1.1. The Taskforce had a face to face meeting on Friday 13 February and a tele-conference late last year

1.2. David Harris has been doing a huge amount of work and the website will be available this week at www.stopspam.net.nz

1.3. David Farrar attended the OECD Workshop on Spam, detailed in a separate report.

1.4. David Harris has been attending DMA meetings and will be attending APCAUCE later this month.

Patent Advisory Group

2.1. The backlog of data is being entered into the patent watch website and I expect it can be launched soon.

Local Loop Unbundling

3.1. The Legal & Regulatory Committee prepared a submission to the Government in support of local loop unbundling. It is at  (link to .pdf) and reflects our long standing support for an open, uncaptureable and competitive Internet.

Cyberlaw Fellowship

4.1. Advertising for applicants for the Fellowship is continuing through Victoria University.
