Council Election Call for Nominations

Call for Nominations for Members of Council

An election to fill up to 13 vacancies on the Council of ISOCNZ will be held at the Fourth Annual General Meeting on 20 November 1998.

Members are invited to submit nominations to the Secretary secretary@isocnz.org.nz at any time. Nominations close at the AGM immediately prior to the election.

The Council has 20 members, of which one is reserved for appointment by the Industry Advisory Group (the Corporate Members of the Society). There are six current members of Council elected for a two year term at the 1997 AGM and whose term of office expires at the 1999 AGM.

Note that no more than three employees of any company or organisation may be members of Council at the same time. This provision does not place any restriction on the nomination of candidates for election.

Council members shall be elected for a term to be determined by the Annual General Meeting at which they are elected.

Nominations must be made by a member of the Society other than the person seeking election. Nominations should be accompanied by some indication from the nominee that they are prepared to accept office.

Nominees are invited to provide about one half of an A4 page or equivalent (250 words) of biographical or other information relevant to their nomination. This information will be posted on the Society's Web site and copies will be provided for members attending the AGM.
