  • Attended two meetings

Sale of Domainz

  • Arranged run on Insurance for former Directors
  • Attended hand over function on 5 September 2003
  • Scrutiny of final audited settlement date accounts

Governance & Constitutional Committee

  • Attended one meeting in Wellington

International Affairs Committee

  • Implemented international travel approval procedures
  • Participated in one conference call and considerable e-mail discussion

Legal & Regulatory Committee

  • Chaired a meeting (in Wellington after Council)

Spam

  • Chaired full day meeting in Wellington of Spam TF
  • Meeting with Consumers Institute and subsequent follow-up
  • Several meetings with MED
  • Handled several media inquiries re spam issues
  • Liaison with CAUCE-NZ (Chris Patterson)
  • Arranged meeting with Minister

Patents

  • Attended one face-to-face and two teleconference meetings
  • Supported Patent Watch proposal

Crimes Amendment Act

  • Media interviews
  • Arranged digital copy of legislation
  • Advisory to various lists

Digital Copyright

  • Nothing since last Council

Terrorism Bill

  • Nothing since last Council

Enum

  • Working with Grant Forsyth and office on an Enum workshop/seminar

Media

  • Article for Netguide on Spam
  • Liasion with TVNZ Holmes Show on spam story
  • Several radio interviews

Final SRS Report - published on 8 September 2003

Strategic Planning

  • Meeting with Simon Riley to revise draft plan
  • Added on extra sections to draft plan and reformatted
  • Attended consultation workshops in Wellington and Auckland and due to Presidential sickness presented draft plan
  • Worked with Simon Riley to summarise feedback and revise plan
