Call for Nominations

Nominations are now open for:

  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Six (6) Councillor positions serving on the Council of InternetNZ

    Nominations close on Friday 9 July 2004. All the terms, bar one Councillor, are for two years, until the conclusion of the 2006 AGM. The sixth highest polling Councillor will fill a casual vacancy up until the conclusion of the 2005 AGM.

The Honoraria for Secretary and Treasurer is currently $4,000 per annum. This is being currently reviewed by Council and may be changed at the Council meeting on 2 July 2004. Time requirements are detailed in the job descriptions. Councillors who are not Officers do not receive Honoraria, however all meeting and travel expenses are paid for by the Society.

Nominations shall be made by e-mail to the Returning Officer (mailto:election@internetnz.net.nz) and must be made no later than 2359 on Friday 9 July 2004. Nominators are asked to use a subject line of "NOMINATION".

Voting, if necessary, will commence online on Friday 16 July and close at the actual AGM on Friday 30 July. The Returning Officer is happy to supply a neutral nomination to any member wishing to stand for office, if they approach him.
