Report of Technical Committee 24/06/05

Tech met just before the last council meeting as planned. The next meeting is scheduled as a teleconference on Wednesday 22 June.

Minutes of the last meeting have been circulated to the Tech list and will be put up on the InternetNZ web site when confirmed, prior to next Council.

We note that David Farrar has joined us in his position as Acting President. Keith as Executive Director is also on Tech so we're not losing him. It will be a shame to lose Peter Macaulay.

David Harris' CA document should be available for public distribution by now. There were some very minor changes. Options regarding Comodo will dobutless be discussed soon.

The major item for the next Tech meeting will be recommending a suitable licence for the distribution of the Enum PUA UCI prototype. A draft recommendation has gone to the list for discussion. We should be able to report a solid recommendation by the next meeting of council.

The final Technical Committee meeting in Wellington will be held on the afternoon of the 2005 AGM.

Recommendation: that the Technical Committee report be accepted.
