Project Description:
The Internet Code of Practice project relates to development and implementation of a self-regulatory code for ISPs, to spread and sustain best practice in
their operations.

Overall Progress Summary:
The ICOP has been rewritten to accommodate the TCF Customer
Complaints Scheme and Telecommunications Dispute Resolutions Service. Substantial industry buy-in is yet required.
Activities Planned for November 2008:
Plan a meeting with the President of ISPANZ to discuss ICOP.
Project History:
October 2008:
- ISP self regulation tabled as an agenda item for Pub-Pol meeting.
September 2008:
- ISPANZ indicated a willingness to revisit the ICOP document.
June 2008:
- New draft discussed at Pub-Pol Committee meeting; some changes were suggested.
- Note: Pub-Pol intends revising the ICOP
at its next meeting if ISPANZ shows any interest, otherwise the project will be closed off.
May 2008:
- Redrafted ICOP & cover note, arranged for ICOP to be tabled on Pub-Pol and ISPANZ meeting agendas.
January 2008:
August 2007:
- Feedback on a re-worked ICOP was sought from Telecom and TelstraClear.
- ISPANZ members were briefed on the ICOP at their AGM.
March 2007:
- Considered CCC and TDRS and what it means for ICOP and it was determined the ICOP could be reworked to compliment.
November 2006:
- ISPANZ indicated support for CCC and TDRS but still interested in ICOP.
September - October 2006:
- TCF
working groups around CCC and TDRS.
August 2006:
- ISPANZ
agreed to proceed on a joint work programme to establish how the
Code can interact with the TDRS.
