Proposed Meeting Dates Report by Admin Committee 2002/2003

PROPOSED MEETING DATES

Admin Committee has proposed the following schedule of meeting dates for 2002/03.

While any of the three regular meeting bodies can change their dates, we hope this will be a useful initial schedule as it is timed to co-ordinate.

The following guidelines have been used:

1) Council and .nz oversight committee to meet alternate months except for first post AGM meetings when they meet on same day to allow for interaction. This will be 7 meetings a year each.

2) Admin Committee to meet monthly on Fridays and at least two weeks prior to a Council meeting so it can prepare material for Council

3) Both .nz oversight committee and Council to have half their meetings on Fridays and half on Saturdays in recognition that many members have problems if all are on weekdays (takes up too much leave) or all on weekends (takes up too much family time).

4) Unless specified differently assume Council and .nz oversight committees will start at 1000 and finish by 1700

5) Admin Committee meeting lengths vary greatly and if under two hours will be from 1200 - 1400 but if over two hours from 1500 - finish.

6) The issue of whether one should try to regularise other committee meetings needs to be discussed with Committee Chairs.
