Proposed Resolutions Arising 28/07/00

YOKOHAMA MEETINGS

For Discussion by the Members.

1. That ISOCNZ shall become a founding member of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domains Limited.

2. That we subscribe to membership of APTLD at the level of US$5000.

3. That ISOCNZ respond to the ICANN invoice with an offer to donate the sum "invoiced" accompanied by a cheque for that amount, together with a letter explaining that acceptance will acknowledge the absence of any contract between ICANN and ISOCNZ.

4. That ISOCNZ respond, and encourage other ccTLD's to respond to:

(a) the Report of the Presidents Task Force on Funding, concerning the absence of consultation with ccTLD's on this vital topic,

(b) the "Status Quo" paper

5. That ISOCNZ participate , through the ccTLD constituency, in the DNSO review working group.

6. That ISOCNZ authorise the Chair to continue to explore and facilitate the formation of a peer organisation of ccTLDs to negotiate with ICANN and other interested parties on ccTLDmatters.

7. THAT the Council of ISOCNZ endorses the version 2.0 draft of the ccTLD Best Practices Document.

8. THAT ISOCNZ, whilst being a participant of the APTLD at a political level, focus it's operational work on the Pacific region

9. THAT the Council of ISOCNZ pay the $US 1000 to become an observer at CENTR

10. THAT the Council ensures that delegates with technical knowledge are added to the representation at ICANN meetings especially the ASO and PSO, and that, funding permitting, these delegates be sponsored to the maximum possible level

11. THAT the Council of ISOCNZ actively encourage, and if necessary sponsor, attendance at the IETF meetings
