Simon Riley

Biography for Simon Riley

Simon Riley is a Director of Net Impact, a technology and marketing consulting firm which provides strategic business advice and consulting services.

Simon is also a seasoned media professional with extensive marketing and communication skills that has spanned 25 years, beginning as a broadcasting analyst and film producer in Canada and than moving to Australia where he worked as a management consultant with clients in the advertising and entertainment industries.

Moving to New Zealand Simon founded Net Impact and in the past 7 years in his position as a Electronic Solutions and Marketing Architect and has focused developing Internet marketing and publishing strategies for the corporate sector.

Simon's passion for emerging technologies and the Internet has been extended to his involvement in a number of social policy related IT initiatives . In particular Simon was the architect and founding trustee of 2020 Communications Trust which has been responsible for promoting a number of New Zealand wide Digital Divide initiatives beginning with NetDay and more recently Computer in Homes.

Simon has been a member of ISOCNZ since its inception .
