Council Meeting Recording
Recording of council meetings directly onto a laptop has been successfully achieved for the last two council meetings. The next step is to be able to stream these recordings to listeners. This requires access to a RealAudio streaming server.
At the same time some discussion has occurred on the benefits of video recording the meetings. There are some technical limitations, providing audio only for low bandwidth listeners at the same time as full audio/visual for high speed listeners. The is also the question of whether there is any additional benefit to be gained by videoing council meetings. The best way to determine this is probably to try it for a couple of meetings and call for feedback.
Feedback on Appropriate use of the Society's Email lists
Due to the reversed decision to break the list between the ISOCNZ-L list and the nz.org.isocnz news group, MEP have been asked to canvas members on the best use of the various society's lists. Some discussion has taken place as to the scope of the request and the best questions to ask the members. A questionnaire is being formulated and will be released shortly.
