From my perspective, the highlight of the meeting was the attendance of the ccTLD manager from Afghanistan, whose attendance was sponsored by APTLD, but subsequently .af have joined the organisation.
In general terms, APTLD is making constant progress, and there is a high degree of co-operation and friendship amongst the members. There was a specific request that the APTLD would be seeking to more closely engage with Pacific Island ccTLD's.
It is appropriate to record, on behalf of InternetNZ, our thanks to TWNIC, and Joanna and Ian specifically, for the outstanding job they have done as the APTLD secretariat over the past several years, and more importantly for the extremely efficient methodology for handing over the APTLD secretariat to InternetNZ. Both Joanna and Ian will ensure a very smooth transition of the secretariat. By the time of our Council meeting, InternetNZ will have completed its staffing changes to accommodate the new functions.

- That this report be received by International Affairs Committee for presentation to Council on 18 December
